Safety Steward

About the role

Our client needs two Safety Stewards for a new high-rise project in Mumbai (RCC and finishing works) that starts within the next three months. Working with the safety engineers, you will be on the floors every day, checking that workers follow the safety rules and that unsafe conditions are fixed.

Key responsibilities

• Patrol the work areas through the shift
• Check PPE, harnesses and edge protection
• Report unsafe acts and conditions and follow them up
• Support toolbox talks and inductions
• Help keep the site clean and safe

Requirements

• Experience as a safety steward or safety supervisor on construction sites
• Knowledge of basic construction safety practice
• Good communication with workers
