Purchase Manager

About the role

A leading construction group is hiring a Purchase Manager for its building projects, based in Patna, Bihar. The role leads procurement of materials and services for construction sites. The Purchase Manager handles vendor development, quotations and negotiations, purchase orders, delivery tracking and vendor records. Building project experience is required, along with experience in government projects and preferred exposure to a construction company. ₹3.60 to ₹4.80 lakh per year.

Key responsibilities

• Manage procurement of construction materials and services
• Develop vendors and obtain quotations and comparisons
• Negotiate rates and issue purchase orders
• Track deliveries and coordinate with site teams
• Maintain vendor records, contracts and purchase documentation
• Monitor material costs and identify savings
• Coordinate with accounts on vendor payments

Requirements

• 12–15 years of procurement experience
• Building project experience
• Experience in government projects
• Preferred exposure to a construction company
• Negotiation and vendor management skills
• Willingness to undergo background verification and submit a character certificate
