Civil Site Engineer

About the role

Our client, an EPC contractor, needs a Civil Site Engineer for a 220 kV GIS substation project in Gurugram, Haryana. You will run the civil works on site: RCC and equipment foundations, cable trenches and retaining walls. The role covers the full cycle, from reading drawings and preparing bar bending schedules to quantity estimation, material reconciliation, QA/QC inspections with the client and daily progress reporting. You will also manage the site labour and subcontractors. The requirement is urgent. Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed immediately, and immediate joiners are preferred.

Key responsibilities

• Execute RCC foundations, equipment foundations, cable trenches and retaining walls as per approved drawings
• Read and interpret construction drawings and prepare bar bending schedules (BBS)
• Estimate quantities and carry out material reconciliation
• Run QA/QC checks, raise work inspection requests (WIRs) and attend client inspections
• Prepare daily progress reports (DPR)
• Manage site labour and subcontractors

Requirements

• 5–8 years of experience in civil site execution
• Industrial, EPC or substation construction experience preferred
• Hands-on with drawing reading, BBS, quantity estimation and material reconciliation
• Working knowledge of QA/QC, WIRs, client inspections and DPRs
• Experience managing site labour and subcontractors
• Immediate joiners preferred
